Can you demonstrate the effect of Retain Structure?
Retain Structure is a powerful option within the Remix tool that allows Skybox AI to preserve the core composition and layout of your 360° image—while still applying new styles, lighting, and ambiance.
This feature is ideal when you want to:
- Maintain the scene’s spatial arrangement
- Keep major elements like buildings, trees, or mountains in place
- Apply stylistic changes without losing visual identity
What effect do tripods have when remixing?
Tripods are essential for capturing high-quality 360° images, but they often leave a visible mark at the nadir (the lowest point of the image). When remixing, this can result in the AI introducing unwanted visual elements—such as platforms or patches—that visibly contrast the surrounding floor texture.
These artifacts aren’t always desirable, so we recommend the following steps before uploading your image:
- Edit the nadir area in a photo editing tool to remove or blend out the tripod.
- Patch the spot with a neutral texture or content-aware fill to minimize visual distractions.
- Consider using a tripod cover during capture to reduce the need for post-editing.
Taking these steps helps ensure cleaner remix results and avoids unintended objects in your generated skybox.
